Taifun GTC-R - Nautilus Edition
Based on the original prototype that was developed for the Aspire Nautilus GT, the GTC product range now includes the Taifun GTC-R.
The Taifun® GTC-R is the 100% German designed and manufactured tank by Taifun that utilizes the >> Aspire Nautilus coils <<, the most popular and longest lasting coil system in the vaping industry.
In addition, minor improvements and adjustments have been made compared to the well-known Aspire Nautilus GT. The base of the Taifun GTC-R is now made from a single piece, and the plastic insert that contacted the coil has been removed. Furthermore, the Taifun GTC-R has been designed exclusively for the needs of MTL vapers.
Can also be used in combination with the >> Velvet Vape Nautipins << or >> Velvet Vape Multipins << to further refine your airflow configuration.
The Taifun GTC-R now also supports a gap-free transition to the mouthpiece.
Overview of the Taifun GTC-R
- Passive liquid control & top-fill system
Similar to the Aspire Nautilus GT, the Taiffun GTC-R is filled via a convenient bayonet lock. The top cap is simply removed, and the tank can be filled with any standard e-liquid bottle. An integrated chamber delays the absorption of the e-liquid into the coil for a brief moment.
- Tank made of high-quality PCT-G
Like the Taifun GTC, the Taifun GTC-R is equipped with a PCT-G tank. Unlike PSUs, the use of liquids containing highly aggressive phenolic compounds is possible without restrictions. This, of course, occurs without compromising food safety or aesthetics. Once the tank is filled, the PCT-G is as clear as glass.
- Simplest operation
The Taifun GTC-R is designed for ease-of-use. The draw resistance can be adjusted to individual needs using the air flow control (AFC) ring. Various holes with diameters of 0.8mm, 1.0mm, 1.2mm, 1.5mm, and 1.8mm are available for this purpose. To change the coil, unscrew the base. Since the coil is only screwed into the base, it can be easily replaced from below, even if the tank is not empty.

The Taifun GTC-R is aimed primarily at demanding users who prefer a reliable, high-quality coil atomizer for MTL vaping. Even at high nicotine levels, the Taifun GTC-R is pleasantly mild and thanks to the flavour-intensive Nautilus coils, delivers a full aroma, even at moderate power levels. Furthermore, it is also pleasantly quiet.

Note: While this is based on the original prototype for the Aspire Nautilus GT, the Aspire parts are not interchangeable with the GTC-R due to the 23mm diameter being different from the Aspire Nautilus GT.
Recommended coil is the Aspire Nautilus 1.8 Ohm BVC coil. While the Nautilus 2S Mesh coils will fit, be aware that increased heat generation may occur, depending on the individual draw pattern and airflow settings.
The coil does not arrive installed. It is highly recommended to moisten it with e-liquid before installation.
To increase durability and functionality, all o-rings are lubricated with neutral glycerin during the assembly process. If your unit appears "wet" upon arrival, this is why, and is perfectly normal. It is NOT a sign of previous use!
